MAKE COLD BREW AT HOME

The Home Cold Brew Recipe

For Light Roast: Colombian Cumbres
For Dark Roast: Twenty Strong

What You Need:

- Coffee: 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee

- Water: 4 cups of filtered, cold or room-temperature water

- Equipment: A large glass jar or pitcher, a long spoon or spatula, and a fine-mesh strainer (or cheesecloth/paper coffee filter)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Coarse Grind: If you're grinding your beans at home, set them to a coarse grind (similar to sea salt). This prevents over-extraction and keeps your final brew smooth instead of bitter.

2. Combine: Add the coarsely ground coffee and the 4 cups of filtered water directly into your glass jar or pitcher.

3. Stir Gently: Give the mixture a thorough, gentle stir to make sure every single coffee ground is fully saturated and submerged.

4. Steep: Cover the container with a lid and place it in the refrigerator to steep. Let it sit for 16 to 24 hours. (The longer it steeps, the bolder and more concentrated it gets—perfect if you love a heavy splash of milk).

5. Strain: Once it's done steeping, line your strainer with a fine-mesh filter, cheesecloth, or a paper filter and slowly pour the liquid into a clean container to separate the grounds.

6. Serve: Pour your freshly made cold brew concentrate over a glass filled with fresh ice cubes. Dilute with a splash of water, your favorite milk, or a touch of sweetener to taste.

Store any leftover concentrate in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
